eminent vs. imminent
Eminent = “respected, successful, well-known”, as in “an eminent virologist.
Imminent = means “happening very soon,” as in “expecting his imminent departure” or “his departure is imminent.”
Tidbit on the side: Cardinals in the Catholic Church are addressed as “Your Eminence”.
