I make homework? I works from home? I work remotely?

Here is the solution to yesterday’s quiz:

a) I’m making homeoffice. INCORRECT – “Homeoffice” is not an English description for “working from home”. “Home office” describes the room you work in, but not the work that you do in that room.

b) I’m working from home. CORRECT

c) I’m doing homework. INCORRECT – This sentence is grammatically correct, but homework is something you do for school, or your English lesson. It does not describe working from home.

d) I’m working remotely. CORRECT

e) I do housework. INCORRECT – This sentence is grammatically correct, but housework means cleaning the house. It does not describe working remotely.

f) I’m doing home office. INCORRECT – “Home office” is a false friend for Germans. In German it means “working from home”, but in English it describes a room in your home that
